Mixed 2 are competing again in A Division alongside Mixed 3 this season. The Mixed teams will play against each other as well as Newcastle University, NCBC & Jesmond Dene.

Elmfield Mixed 2nd team competed in A Division during the 2023-24 season. Team Captain: Phil Stott
A good season for Mixed 2 who played 7 out of their 8 matches (Riverside conceded the final match) and won 4! The team beat our Mixed 3 team 7-2 & 9-0, lost 7-2 & 6-3 to Telecom 2nd team, lost 6-3 & 5-4 to NCBC then beat Riverside 8-1 & 9-0. The team have finished in 2nd place and will be competing in A Division again for the 2024-25 season.

Team Captain: Jack Dye
Mixed 2 competed in A Division for the 2022-23 season where they faced Elmfield’s Mixed 3, NCBC, Hexham & Newcastle University. The Mixed 2nd team had a good season where they finished in 2nd place with 52 points and claimed wins over Elmfield 3rd team (9-0 & 7-2), Hexham (9-0 in both matches), NCBC (7-2) & Newcastle University (6-3) and lost the return matches to NCBC (7-2) & Newcastle University (6-3). The team will be competing in A Division again next season.

Mixed 2 finished in 2nd place in A Division this season winning 6 out of their 8 matches and were just beaten by a strong Telecom 2nd team! They claimed wins over Elmfield 3rd team (7-2 & 9-0), NCBC (6-3 at home & 5-4 away), Riverside (9-0 away & 8-1 at home) but lost both matches against Telecom 2 (8-1 away & 5-4 at home). They will compete again in A Division for the 2022-23 season.

The Mixed 2nd team had a great season where they won 7 out of their 8 matches, finishing the season on 19 points and claiming the A Division league title! They won 8-1 and 6-3 against Elmfield’s Mixed 3 team, 6-3 and 7-2 against Riverside, 7-2 and 8-1 against NCBC then 6-3 at home against Telecom 2 (losing 6-3 when they played Telecom 2 away).
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the leagues were voided and there was no promotion, relegation or trophy presentation in any of the leagues.

2018-19 season.
Team Captain: Rob Tanner
The Mixed 2nd team finished in 5th place in Premier Division, not managing to win any matches. They lost 5-4 and 7-2 to Elmfield 1st team, 8-1 and 9-0 to Telecom, 8-1 and 9-0 to St. Gab’s and 7-2 and 7-2 to Newcastle University. Unfortunately, the team has been relegated and will be competing alongside the Mixed 3rd team in A Division during the 2019-20 season.

The Mixed 2nd team competed in Premier Division alongside our Mixed 1st team and finished in 4th place, managing to gain two vital wins over Newcastle University (6-3 & 7-2), securing their place in Premier Division again for the 2018-19 season.
