Elmfield Men’s 2nd team competed in A Division during the 2023-24 season. Team Captain: Andy Ward
A great season for Men’s 2 who won all 8 of their matches! They beat Riverside 8-1 & 5-4, beat NCBC 2nd team 6-3 & 8-1, beat St. Gab’s 2nd team 8-1 in both matches and beat DTBC (Yehlex) 9-0 in both matches! This means that the team are A Division champions and will be competing in Premier Division along with Men’s 1 for the 2024-25 season!

Team Captain: Andy Ward
Men’s 2 had a tough season as they competed alongside Men’s 1 in Premier Division. All players showed great effort in all 8 of their matches but lost all 8 against strong opposition (8-1 & 7-2 against Elmfield Men’s 1, 9-0 in both matches against Telcom & St. Gab’s and 6-3 & 5-4 against Newcastle University). This means that Men’s 2 finished the season with 10 points and will be relegated so will compete in A Division during the 2023-24 season.

What a great season for Men’s 2! They won 7 out of their 8 matches, claiming wins over Jesmond Dene (7-2 at home & 9-0 away), Riverside (8-1 in both matches), Hexham (8-1 away & 9-0 at home) & NCBC at home (7-2), only losing 6-3 to NCBC away. This means that they were crowned A Division champions, with 22 league points, and will be competing in Premier Division alongside Men’s 1 during the 2022-23 season!

The Men’s 2nd team finished in 2nd place in A Division, winning 7 out of their 8 matches (9-0 and 7-2 against Hexham, 6-3 and 9-0 against Riverside, 8-1 and 9-0 against Jesmond Dene and 5-4 against NCBC at home) but they narrowly lost 7-2 to NCBC away.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the leagues were voided and there was no promotion, relegation or trophy presentation in any of the leagues.

The Men’s 2nd team finished in 2nd place in A Division, winning 7 out of their 8 matches (8-1 and 8-1 against Riverside LC BC, 7-2 and 8-1 against Jesmond Dene, 7-2 and 7-2 against Medicals and 5-4 against St. Gab’s). They only lost one match all season, 5-4 to St. Gab’s, and narrowly missed out on promotion into Premier Division. The team will be competing again in A Division during the 2019-20 season.

The Men’s 2nd team had a great season where they won 8 out of 8 matches (7-2 against Newcastle University both home & away, 5-4 & 9-0 against Hexham, 9-0 against St. Gab’s 2nd team both home & away & 8-1 & 6-3 against LNER). This means they claimed the league title but chose not to be promoted to Premier Division.
